Compatibility

Tech compartment: Securely fits a 16” MacBook Pro without a sleeve, or a 13” MacBook Pro in a Mous sleeve. It also holds all MacBook Air models.

Laptop pocket: Fits all 14” and smaller MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models. You can also use it to store an iPad Pro 12.9” or all other iPad models instead.

Materials

The main body is made from 840D ballistic nylon with a triple-layer coating, including a top layer of polycarbonate and two layers of polyurethane.
The sides are made from 500D nylon.
The internal lining is made from 210D nylon.
The zippers are a combination of polyurethane-coated YKK zippers.
The G-hook fastening is made from aerospace-grade 6063 aluminium.

What do you mean by ‘official team backpack’?
Great question! This is an official licensed product. When the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team approached Mous to design a team backpack, we knew it had to meet the demands of a relentless motorsport environment – more pockets, less weight and built for performance. Working closely with engineers, mechanics and marketers at the team’s Brackley HQ, we developed this backpack from the ground up. The result? The official team backpack of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team – the same one used by George Russell, Kimi Antonelli and the rest of the team.

How well does this backpack protect my tech?
The Optimal backpack is built for serious protection. Its AiroFoam® impact-absorbing technology shields laptops and tablets from drops of up to 1.2 meters. It's also highly water-resistant, keeping your gear safe from rain, spills and splashes – though we wouldn’t recommend submerging it in water. Whether you're caught in a storm or on the move, your tech stays protected.
