Tempered glass
Chemically reinforced and heat-treated through tightly controlled thermal processes, tempered glass is engineered to be significantly tougher than standard glass. This process compresses the outer surface into a hardened tension layer, dramatically increasing strength and helping disperse impact energy on drops.

It’s rated 9H on the pencil hardness scale, meaning it resists scratches from keys, coins, grit and even some metals, keeping your screen clear and sharp.

If impacted, tempered glass may crack – and that’s by design. Acting as a sacrificial layer, the protector absorbs and dissipates the shock so your actual iPhone screen doesn’t have to. Importantly, tempered glass is shatterproof: unlike ordinary glass, it breaks into small, blunt fragments rather than sharp shards, reducing injury risk.

Will my screen protector crack or shatter?
